Who stated self-publishing would be easy? I believe the answer to that question would be “no one”. Before self-publishing any type of work, I suggest the writer to compose a game plan on paper. Yes, questions will still be asked and research will have to be done.

As a new author of the poetry eBook, “Inspirational Poems for the Storms”, I have learned to plan and plan thoroughly. Make sure deadlines are set for each process the project has to undergo before it is completed. Knowing there are deadlines to meet served as a driving force for me to take the necessary steps in seeing a completed project.

Having a game plan written on paper does not mean you will not have setbacks or failures during the process of a wonderful outcome. A game plan in place correlates to a navigation system for a vehicle. Truly, guidance and direction was needed to reach my targeted destination. As you know, there are some traveling devices that provide travelers with the short or long route to our destination. Overall, the driver reaches his/her destination that was inputted in the traveling device.

There may be the following that serve as distractions as you travel the road to success:

·         ponds

·         rivers

·         waterfalls

·         pot holes

·          hills

·          humps

·          bumps

Many expect a smooth journey. Well, how could you appreciate months or years of hard work if you never experience the distractions and challenges that came along with it? Challenges can be difficult to cope with, but they are temporary to test our determination and willingness to reach our destination. Accept the challenges that come along with your project(s) because they are temporary experiences that will lead to everlasting success. Embrace the challenges!Be inspired!
