Delayed, but Not Denied

Curses have been placed on me for no reason at all.  I feel like humpty dumpty who sat on the wall and had a great fall.  The enemy seeks to devour me whole.  Over my life, the enemy wants total control;

It feels like my skull has been banged against a brick wall like a crash dummy—when I am in public, people just stare at me, mistaken me as a foreigner that has migrated from another country;

I want all the things back that have been taken from me.  So many good things are due to me at this present time; so much beyond my imagination and I will be awarded for my crying;

For all of the hurts, pain, disappointments, and heartaches, someone must pay; who is man to number my days?  I rebuke the curses that plan to overtake me.  For the blessings stored up, release them 7 fold and I will receive;

At first, it didn’t look like the blessings were coming so I cried and cried, for joy comes in the morning, because the blessings are just delayed,not denied.

Broke, but not Forgotten

 I may not have a penny to my name but my attitude

remains the same.  You will never know that I am broke; You will never know whose neck I want to choke;

You will never know when anger is built within;

you will never know my heart is broken and needs

a mend;

Bills are due and I don’t have a dime, first thing comes to mind is to commit a theft crime; I can’t do that because I will have to serve time.  I must make a good decision—I must draw the line;

Do I want to be isolated from the world like a prisoner in a cell, or do I want to continue experiencing shortages and go through hell.

I’ll continue through the fire because I won’t be scorched; my enemies enjoy seeing the pain I experience, they even celebrate on the porch;

Oh my gosh!  Look what has dropped from the sky, there is someone above who will supply; the table has turned and the role has been called and all of my needs are met, no longer am I feeling like an unwanted pet.  I am stronger now than I have ever been; no longer am broke or forgotten!

A Journey

Life is a journey; it is a voyage that may be traveled by air or land, it’s like a dirty beach; surrounding it, you see the crystal sand;

There is a purpose for your life so accept the mission that must be completed; supernatural assistance is highly needed;

This is a journey that a traveling companion is a must;

In only one person, King Jesus, you must put your full trust.  He will never leave you nor forsake you; whatever he promises he will do;

Hold your head up and look unto the sky, for you are never alone although it may seem like you have hit a brick wall or reached a dead end zone.  Throughout this journey, you will hear words spoken against you.  You’ll find out your so called friends really are not true;

Your toes will get stepped on and be prepared to get stabbed in the back.  Your dignity, faith and belief will be attacked; nevertheless, you will overcome the stumbling blocks and succeed, for I plan to be more than a conqueror while traveling this journey.

Unhappiness is Contagious

Have you ever been in public around some of the unhappiest people? They can be shopping in the nearby grocery store, dinning in a restaurant, walking through the park, or co-workers at your place of employment.

It is amazing to see how these individuals are so miserable. They will go another route to avoid you, slowly walk for you to pass them by, or begin to walk with their head down to avoid looking at you. As I witness the gestures and actions of these people, my heart yearns to encourage them and uplift them because I can sense the unhappiness. At the same time, there is evidence of some problems that need solutions. Speaking is free- it is a sign of being courteous.

There has been numerous of times when I would speak to an individual and receive no response. To show how unhappiness is contagious, it highly bothered me. At the same time, I found myself treating others the same way throughout the day. Even though it wasn’t my character, I became hesitative of speaking to others- wondering should I or should I not speak to different individuals based on his/her facial expression or gesture.

As a courteous person at all times, I concluded I must remain strengthened in my character and daily walk. Be careful of surrounding yourself with unhappy people because unhappiness is contagious. In conclusion, don’t allow the unpleasant experiences of unhappy people ruin your entire day. Despite of the feedback you may receive from others, continue to be courteous and uplifting to those who are unhappy. Stay uplifted and happy!

Inspiring: How Do You Achieve Happiness?

Ever wondered how to achieve happiness and maintain happiness? Many people think achieving happiness is a difficult job that requires energy and force. Happiness is already within us as human beings if we know how to discover it. I have known some people who are happy at one moment during the day, but they allow one event or distraction change desire to maintain happiness. From an article, by Remez Sassor, “The Happiness Factor”, it is mentioned how we seek happiness by engaging and participating in various activities to seek happiness. For example, one may go to the movies, attend a party, and go to a restaurant to obtain happiness. If none of these engagements are satisfactory to our desire, happiness has not been achieved.

Remez mentions how a happiness factor dictates the behavior of each individual. The write discusses how happiness is sought in many ways and forms. It is sought in selfish and unselfish ways. “The Happiness Factor “is a very interesting article to me because there are so many unhappy people in the world. Many unhappy people in the world actions and attitude tends to have a negatively affect on others who are actually happy. In my opinion, unhappiness is contagious in the same manner as happiness. When one is surrounded by a group of happy individuals, the environment becomes a welcoming and loving environment because of the happy people within the environment.

In conclusion, happiness is a choice that individuals must make. I agree with Remez when stated, “We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. The spiritual part is always happy or rather happiness itself. The body covers this happiness essence, but it is there all the time. Therefore, no need to search for happiness or try to create it.” Happiness is an inside job in the same manner as people who have to work on his/her attitude problem. There is no one who can change your attitude, but yourself. Therefore, nothing or nobody can make you happy, but yourself. So, began to search your heart to locate the true happiness that is located within you as a human being.

Motivation: Choose to be a Driver

     Driving starts off fun when we are young. No matter if we are opening the door to a Honda, Corvette, Ford Explorer, or Mustang; it is the enthusiasm that derives just being able to put the key into the ignition. It is a hobby that every kid look forward to and every adult accept as a daily routine. But, the risk of driving is taken lightly daily. Driving requires calmness, patience, concentration, good decision-making, and observation. Nevertheless, one must be patient and wait on his/her turn at the 4- way stop. Patience is also required as one wait on the traffic light to turn green before proceeding.
                A driver holds 100% responsibility while driving. A driver must be knowledgeable of various gears, park, drive, reverse, and neutral. He/She must know when to stop, go, and yield. In addition, a driver must know how to drive in different weather conditions. Drivers must know how to dodge potholes, prevent skidding during ice storms, and drive slowly while in school zones.
                As human beings, we rather be passengers than drivers. Therefore, the responsibility of driving is passed along to someone else. Yet, what is learned when passing along responsibilities? What has been learned from an experience that you haven’t truly experienced, but witnessed? How can you handle similar situations as the driver when you choose to be a passenger? Overall, I have learned to be a driver in life in which I choose to take upon the responsibility of making decisions and seek ways for my goals to be achieved. I may become grouchy and frown because of all I have to go through as a driver. As a driver, I have realized that there are times when I have to yield because the time may not be right for certain things to take place. As a driver, I have learned to put my actions in drive and reverse when needed. I have learned to drive my way through all the negative comments in life. During professional racing, it is the driver who is responsible for reaching the finish line in a timely manner. Finally, I have learned to dodge the obstacles that are likely to cause setbacks as much as possible. What will you choose to be the driver or passenger?Be a Driver!

Motivation: Real Happiness

I just read an article titled, “Is the USA moving toward a happiness index?” by Wendy Koch. It is a very interesting article in which surveys are taken and certain indicators are examined to measure our happiness. Statistics has shown from the previous ten to thirty years that it hasn’t been a tremendous difference in happiness.

I believe happiness is an inside job that each individual has to discover in his or her own way. Happiness comes from engaging in activities that you enjoy that meet your satisfaction and seeing progress made in life. As we know, money cannot buy happiness. I am aware of some of the wealthiest people who are not happy. To them, there is something lacking in his or her life that will promote happiness. Happiness is when voids and emptiness are fulfilled with what that individual has been yearning for. Happiness is a choice that we must make on our own. No one can force happiness on an individual. Seeing those voids and emptiness replaced with joy and favor, boosts  individuals’ morale knowing that he or she is an over comer.

What makes me happy? I am happy when I see my goals are being achieved, having a positive impact on other people’s lives, and seeing progress in my life. When I witness accomplishments made in my life that serve as a positive impact on other lives, that makes me happy. Knowing others have been touched in an optimistic way by a good deed that I’ve done, makes me happy. In conclusion, happiness derives from adversities that one may experience which should’ve turned out as a harmful or dangerous result. But, the outcome was reversed in the individual’s best interest. When shown favor in the most drastic situations, one should be very happy. I enjoy being that special one out the crowd interacting with others that makes the entire crowd of unhappy people become happy.Real Happiness Lies Within
