Poetry: He Lives

Have you ever wondered do God really lives? Well, I hope this poem will provide some insight for you. Many events in our lives take place and we become overcomers as well as conquerors. Knowing that the situation was too big for us to handle, we begin to just be thankful that we ovecame the situation. But, have we really taken the time to sit and think how there was some supernatural power needed for us to overcome the situation.

He lives and sits on his throne above like the clouds sit in the sky.  Like a squirrel lying dead in the middle of the street, I could have died.  I don’t know how my mind is being kept for I should be like a psycho seeking to do harm. Instead, like an angel covering me with his wings, he widely opens his arms;

 He Lives

Covering me with a shield, like a soldier is covered with armor for war, I should be like an alcoholic, seeking expensive drinks daily at the bar;

I have been through the wilderness like Moses for 40 days and 40 nights; I’ve been lost like an unknown traveler, but he assisted me with his glorious light.  For I know he is not dead, in fact, he rose on the third

day like self-rising flour; he is alive and I can call on him any second, any minute, even in the midnight hour;

 

Events in life are like friends that go and come, come and go.  He saved me from the pit, called “Sheol.”  Death knocked at my door like a postman with a certified letter; he has been with me through the hot, cold, gloomy, rainy, and stormy weather.  He protects me like a cat protects her kittens and a dog protect her pups.  Oh yes, he lives each and every day because I feels his steadfast love.  He never treated me like a baby; around my neck, there’s no bib—but he trained me like a soldier for war, yes, he lives!

Poetry: The Demonic Man That Bothers Me

When we have gotten over our past and our failures, it seems like someone who knew of our past and old ways tend to highlight our past in front of others. This is to inspire and encourage someone that they can get rid of the demonic man that tends to bother us. The Demonic Man may be a relative, friend, co-worker, neighbor, or it may be just simple thoughts in our mind to cause us to be oppressed or depressed.

The enemy roams to and fro seeking whom he may devour, but I was put on this earth to make his taste buds sour.  He seeks to cause heartaches and pain—this man is evil! I mean he is totally insane;

 He seeks to cause disappointments in areas that I strive and strive; he seeks to see me dead, thank God I am still alive.  The enemy is real and so am I.  He keeps telling me, “I am not going to make it,” but he is a lie.  This man goes to the extreme in what he does, but I strive harder, for there is power in me that makes him like a car without a starter;

 

He seeks to cause stress, anxiety, bondage, and oppression; I refuse to bow down, for I plan to teach him a lesson.  I am taking back my health –I am free in Jesus name.  I am more than a conqueror and I have the victory;

It’s time to take back all that belongs to me and more; I am coming boldly to kick down Satan’s door.  To the doors of deliverance, abundance, and joy, I already have the key.  I speak aggressively,

“Get Out,” I’m speaking to the demonic man that bothers me.

 

Life: Be Hearers and Doers

Have you ever seen a person who have the potentials to achieve great things and you witness the full potentials within them? Well, I have and those same people I put forth effort to encourage them of the skills and gifts that I notice within. Yet, they continue to procrastinate and put things to the side. As they become older and witness the accomplishments and achievements of others, that same person begin experiencing a journey of wishing. You may hear words such as: "I wish I would've done this" or "I wish that I would've done that?" But, the person doesn't think back how you have constantly been encouraging them of the great potentials they have within all these years. It seems as if some people don't accept reality until they witness someone else make achievements who people degraded and looked down on. But, those same people are some of the world's most richest people and have produced values in life that cannot be duplicated. So, I would like to encourage someone who feel like they are no one and not entitled to success. The universe has so much to offer. Yes, we all need encouragement to build our self-morale as we attempt to achieve our purpose for life. Therefore, I would to like to share one of my poems for my poetry book, Inspirational Poems for the Storms, published on Amazon entitles, "Be Hearers and Doers". This poem is to encourage someone to don't wait until the next person make achievements and accomplishments. Take initiative, absorb the positive things being spoken to you, and start your achieving- not only hear the positive comments spoken into your life, but also make a move and do what it takes to see some results.

Be Hearers and Doers

You have heard the requests made unto you and like a manikin you have not made a move.

What is the meaning of words with no action? “When are you going to move?” I keep asking;

Words are entering one ear and exiting the other;

things that need to be heard, your ears you tend to cover.

Being a hearer and not a doer, guess what will be the result?

Nothing plus nothing, leaves nothing so don’t give up;

Be a hearer; absorb what you have heard, now walk it out.

You will face circumstances and may refuse to shout.

Focus on the problem for there is a problem solver in town,

Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”—24 /7 he is around;

Do you know Jesus promises for you and me?

You heard the words so you should be walking in victory.

We are more than conquerors refusing to be losers;we should be hearers as well as doers.

 

He Knows Your Name

I was just thinking about how people feel like they are forgotten and alone during their adversities. Realizing the hurt that people are experiencing, I just wanted to encourage someone they are not alone nor forgotten. This is a poem from my poetry book, "Inspirational Poems for the Storms" entitled, "He Knows Your Name". I hope that you will be blessed and uplifted realizing you are not alone nor forgotten.

 He Knows Your Name

 

Do you feel forgotten?  No one wants to give you a helping hand?  Doubting if you’ll ever feel better, remember the one who created the universe, sea, and the land;

You are thinking no one feels your pain, yes, there is someone who bore your hurt and there is someone who’s watching over you and he acknowledges all your efforts and hard work;

 

You’re wondering why you have to undergo such turmoil feeling like you shouldn’t be here, but you are.  It was his plan and purpose that he allowed you to make it this far;

Although you may have felt wounded, heartbroken and spiritually lame; don’t ever feel that you are alone, because he knows your name.

Motivating: Left Me Standing in the Cold

I have concluded that being left standing in the cold can be worth the wait. Many of times, I would feel the loneliness and abandonment wondering will the door ever be open. How long must I wait? How many times must I knock? As I stood outside alone, I would hear negative remarks shouted at me that included, “You’ll never be anything in life”, “Quit trying”, and “No one cares about you”. These remarks were stated by relatives, co-workers, friends, and associates.

                After years of knocking at the door of prosperity and success, I realize timing is the key. Sense of urgency, determination, dependability, and motivation were essential factors in the door being opened. While standing in the extremely cold weather waiting patiently, I had begun to encourage myself. In addition, I remained optimistic about the uncomfortable condition.

                Finally, I discovered that there are some people who are responsible for encouraging and inspiring others. There are some individuals whose purpose is to be leaders. So, everyone experience of being left in the cold may not be in the same manner as the next person. To become real leaders, you must undergo the long and uncomfortable process-being left standing in the cold. During the process, the characteristics of a real leader begun to display. A process that involves no one to call on, no one to turn to, and endurance. Knocking at the door consistently and surviving the cold weather when it reaches its record lowest shows the real characteristics of a leader. As a leader, you can later coach others who may experience their time in life when they are left standing in the cold. As you are consistent and determined, the door will soon become opened that you may seek shelter. As a self-publisher of the poetry eBook,” Inspirational Poems for the Storms”, I have learned to accept being left standing in the cold. Because if I had not experienced being left standing in the cold, I would not have known how to handle the challenges and negative remarks that I faced leading to the publishing of my 1^st poetry eBook, “Inspirational Poems for the Storms”.
